MIDTRONICS MVT BATTERY TESTER
After Midtronics received an executive referral from another longstanding client, Overwatch was hired to provide a fresh industrial design perspective and mechanical engineering expertise to help accelerate the product development timeline. However, as the project progressed, Overwatch also stepped in to develop the graphical elements and flow for the user interface.
The Challenge
Create a next generation flagship product for an industry leader. Midtronics provided a well thought out and detailed brand language guideline. This guideline helped to steer the design through an ever changing set of technical requirements during the initial months of the project.
The Results
Months before launch, early prototypes were shared with key Midtronics’ customers across the globe. The reactions were overwhelmingly positive. Now in production, the product is exceeding expectations and prospective customers are requesting that Midtronics bring samples to show them this awesome new product. Cool Fact
Based on the abusive environment the tool is exposed to, in addition to the metal jaws of the jumper cable clamps, the tool sees a signifacant amount of wear and tear. Overwatch engineers created a clever removeable clamp well that can be used for both the positive and negative jumper cable clamps. These replaceable components can be serviced without disassembling the tester.
