CHAMPRO BATTING HELMET
After successfully developing several other products for Champro, they once again turned to Overwatch. This time, the request was to provide design and engineering assistance in creating their first proprietary “hockey goalie” style catcher’s mask.
The Challenge
Since many other sporting goods manufacturers have this style of catcher’s mask, creating an appropriately unique design presented a challenge. Having the protective metal cage design live harmoniously with the complex surfaces of the plastic shell put the Overwatch Industrial Design team to the test.
Cool Fact
This mask offers 10% greater peripheral vision than most traditional catcher’s helmets. The product also has the AirTech® ventilation system which allows air to circulate and escape.
